Sea Salad Resort is similar to Smile Beach Resort - it has cheap wooden bungalows in a garden near the beach. There is a choice of fan or air-con bungalows. The larger bungalows can sleep 3 people.
The resort includes a restaurant and bar. If you plan to stay 4 nights or more they will come and pick you up from the ferry port in Thongsala. You need to contact them, directly about this service.
Sea Salad Resort is slightly further from the beach than Smile Beach Resort. Also they don't offer any cooking facilities. However, the bungalows at this resort are still good value for money. Read more
Double Duke Bungalow
Double Duke Resort has old-skool fan bungalows as well as air-con bungalows on the beach. This is a family-run resort that is good value. The bungalows have hot water, mini bar and wifi connectivity.
The resort is in the southern corner of the beach near plenty of bars and restaurants. The resort also has its own beachview restaurant with tables and chairs as well as more relaxed seating.

Haad Salad Villa is the highest rated Trip Advisor speciality lodging on the beach. This is beacause Haad Salad Villa is a family-run resort that does the basics well: clean rooms and good service.
The resort has concrete and wooden bungalows some of which have air-con and hot water. Some also have fridges. There are a couple of beachfront bungalows that are in high demand and if you want them you have to reserve as soon as possible.

Phangan Natural Resort
This is a chilled low-key resort set on a hill overlooking Haad Salad Bay. It is a 20-minute walk up a hill from the beach at the northern end of Haad Salad.
There are both fan and air-con bungalows with hot water. The resort is run by a French man. As a consequence there is French food on the menu. As well as restaurant and bar there is a BBQ area.
This is the place to go for great views and a chance to experience jungle living. Read more

Cookies Salad Resoert is on the headland between Haad Salad and the next beach to the south, Haad Gruad. The resort has been built in a style that combines Thai and Balinese influences. You have a choice of hotel rooms or cottages with seaviews. The rooms have stylish interiors as well as mod-cons such as air-con, hot water, bathtub, TV and fridge.
The resort has a restaurant and a swimming pool with Jacuzzi. They have a taxi service and massage service.
Most of the accommodation is reached via a number of steps climbing a hill. This means you get great views but also the rooms are unsuitable for people with mobility problems.

Salad Grand Bungalow
Salad Grand Bungalow is in a garden setting next to the beach. They offer two choices of bungalow - the cheaper garden view and the more expensive bird's eye view. Both types have hot water but the bird's view bungalow not only has more space but also air-con and a small kitchen.
There is a restaurant, laundry service and motorbike hire. Guests also get free wifi. Salad Grand Bungalow is good for those looking for a traditional backpacker hut but with better amenities and facilities.

The Haadlad Prestige is one of the most luxurious resorts to stay in directly on Haad Salad beach. There are both hotel style rooms (including a top floor penthouse with large bathtub and 2 rooms) and villas that feature a hydro-tub. One of the villas is literally 10 steps from the beach.
For those looking for something special there is a private pool villa for rent next to the beach with decking overlooking the beach.
The resort has a large pool and lots of eating and drinking options. There is also free wifi. One of the stand-out points about the Haadlad Prestige Resort is its spa that has an impressive (for Haad Salad) list of treatments on offer that include far infrared sauna, aroma oil massage and hydro jet massage. Asia Bungalows at first glance seems to be wrongly priced - basic-looking and traditional bungalows for over 1,000 Thai Baht a night. However, there are a few important things to take in to consideration. Firstly, there are only 10 bungalowss and they are all right next to the beach. Secondly, the bungalows all have air-con, hot water and fridge. And thirdly the friendly and relaxed atsmophere makes the resort special.
Asia Bungalows doesn't have a restaurant but there are plenty of bars and eating spots nearby. It is possible to rent a motorbike at Asia Bungalows.
Asia Bungalows is rated the 31st best speciality lodging on the island. Sadly, it has dropped 18 places in the Trip Advisor rankngs over the last year. Read more
Salad Hut, like Asia Bungalows, is a low key resort next to the beach. It has only 10 cottages set in a tropical garden with wooden bridge. Accommodation ranges from cheap fan bungalows to more expensive air-con bungalows on the beach with satellite TV.
The beachfront restaurant serves good Thai and Western food and there is wifi in public areas. There is also a swimming pool and decking area next to the restaurant.
Salad Hut is a favourite with returnees to the beach as it is a well-run resort on the beach. All prices include breakfast. Children staying with parents are charged a compulsory 100 Thai Baht for breakfast. Read more

Green Papaya Resort is a fairly new accommodation option in Haad Salad. It has villas featuring stylish interiors with all the mod-cons. There is also one private pool villa with 2 bedrooms.
The executive suites have a separate living area, large terrace and an outdoor Jacuzzi. There is one family villa with two bedrooms, bath, separate living area and large balcony.
Green Papaya has a good range of facilities and amenities that include a pool, restaurant and free wifi.
